Far Cry 4 is set in Kyrat, a fictional Himalayan region ruled by the self-appointed king Pagan Min. Ajay Ghale returns to his homeland to carry out his late mother's last wish and is drawn into a civil war between the regime and the rebel group the Golden Path.
The game is an open-world first-person shooter that can be explored on foot, by vehicle, by gyrocopter or riding an elephant. Players capture outposts and bell towers, hunt wildlife to craft gear and take on side missions across Kyrat, and a second player can join the open world online in co-op.
