Lost Judgment is the sequel to Judgment from Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio, the team behind the Yakuza series, and is set in Tokyo and Yokohama. Former lawyer turned private detective Takayuki Yagami and his partner Masaharu Kaito look into what seems to be a perfect crime, in which the main suspect has an airtight alibi, and the case grows into a conspiracy that exploits a broken justice system.
The game mixes detective work with real-time street combat. Yagami switches between martial arts styles, including the new Snake style, and uses investigation gadgets to track suspects and gather evidence. Side activities include undercover school stories and a range of minigames.
