Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order is an action RPG developed by Team Ninja with Koei Tecmo, published by Nintendo for Nintendo Switch. Players assemble a four-hero team drawn from a roster spanning the Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, X-Men, and Spider-Verse characters, fighting across Marvel Universe locations such as Avengers Tower, the Xavier Institute, and Asgard to stop Thanos and his warmasters, the Black Order, from collecting the Infinity Stones.
Combat is real-time brawler-style action with RPG progression, featuring individual Extreme character attacks and team-based Alliance Extreme combo attacks, alongside exploration, puzzles, and item collection. The game supports single-player and local multiplayer for up to four people on one system, online play, and local wireless, with drop-in/drop-out co-op throughout.
Post-launch DLC adds three expansion packs, each introducing new playable characters and story content: Marvel Knights: Curse of the Vampire (Blade, Moon Knight, Morbius, The Punisher), X-Men: Rise of the Phoenix (Phoenix, Gambit, Iceman, Cable), and Fantastic Four: Shadow of Doom (the Fantastic Four).
