Marvel's Wolverine is a single-player action game from Insomniac Games that casts players as Logan, who rejoins the mutant task force Team X to rescue captured mutants from the Reavers, a cybernetic militia working in service of the billionaire Bolivar Trask. The story follows Logan's fight alongside the powerful telekinetic Jean Grey as a hunted community of mutants struggles to survive.
Combat is built around Wolverine's claws, delivered through fast, brutal techniques like the Tornado Spin and Bull Rush. Landing attacks builds a Rage meter that can be spent on stronger assaults or Logan's Healing Factor, and filling it to Rage Tier 3 unleashes a stylized, monochromatic burst of violence. Critical strikes can be executed solo or performed cooperatively with allies such as Jean, and an emergency Last Stand ability lets Logan activate his Healing Factor to keep fighting when critically wounded. Outside of direct combat, the game weaves in motorcycle chases and vehicle-based action sequences across its story.
Developed by the team behind Marvel's Spider-Man 2, Marvel's Wolverine is a PlayStation 5 exclusive, with Standard and Digital Deluxe editions available at launch.
