El Paso, Elsewhere is a supernatural neo-noir action game from Strange Scaffold, led by writer and director Xalavier Nelson Jr. Players take on the role of James Savage, a monster hunter racing through a motel that twists and reshapes itself between floors, fighting to save Draculae, the woman he loves and the lord of all vampires, before the world ends at midnight.
Combat plays out as a bullet-time third-person shooter, slowing time to dodge and return fire against werewolves, fallen angels, and other damned creatures while a moody, synth-driven soundtrack underscores the chase. The game is presented in stark black and white, drawing heavily on pulp horror and grindhouse film influences, with short, intense levels built around tight gunplay rather than exploration.
