This collection bundles two narrative-driven adventures from Quantic Dream. Heavy Rain (2010) is a neo-noir thriller following four playable characters, including a father searching for his kidnapped son, as they race to identify the serial killer known as the Origami Killer. Beyond: Two Souls (2013) follows Jodie Holmes across fifteen years of her life as she copes with her lifelong psychic bond to an invisible entity named Aiden, drawing the attention of a government paranormal research program.
Both games are built around Quantic Dream's signature interactive-drama design, replacing traditional combat and puzzles with contextual actions, quick-time events, and branching dialogue and decisions that shape how each story unfolds, including which characters live or die. Performances are driven by motion and performance capture, with Beyond: Two Souls built around the likenesses and acting of Ellen Page as Jodie and Willem Dafoe as her mentor, Nathan Dawkins.
