When the villainous AI Ultron merges with the Capcom antagonist Sigma to form Ultron Sigma, the combined threat unleashes a virus that converts organic worlds into synthetic ones, forcing the Marvel and Capcom universes to collide. Heroes and villains from both sides must set aside their differences to stop Ultron Sigma from claiming the six Infinity Stones and remaking reality in his image.
Developed and published by Capcom, Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite moves the series from its classic three-on-three format to two-on-two tag-team battles, using a free-form Active Switch system that lets players swap fighters mid-combo instead of relying on traditional assists. The six Infinity Stones are a central mechanic, equippable before a match to grant unique passive bonuses plus temporary Infinity Surge and Infinity Storm abilities that can turn a fight around.
The Deluxe Edition adds alternate character costumes alongside the 2017 Character Pass, which includes six additional playable fighters released after launch.
