Tales of Arise is a large action RPG from Bandai Namco Studios and the 25th-anniversary entry in the long-running Tales series. For three centuries the planet Dahna has been ruled by the technologically advanced Rena, who take its people and resources. You follow Alphen, a masked man with no memory who feels no pain, and Shionne, a Renan woman cursed with thorns that hurt anyone who touches her. Together with a growing group of companions, they set out to free Dahna's realms and face their own pasts. Battles are fast and flashy, with combo-driven real-time combat, powerful Boost Strikes and Mystic Artes. Hand-painted anime-style visuals, detailed skits and a moving story about freedom and understanding make it one of the series' highlights.
